Around The Bend

Lines Of Rhyme

By Gee On A JourneyPublished 5 years ago • 1 min read

An unfortunate series of events

Winding roads driving me round the bend

Circumstances seem to show no repent

No money seems to be well spent

There’s nowhere further to descend

Only underground

Without a sound

Like a whirlpool round and round until you hit the ground

Bash your head with a loud pounding sound

Some things there’s just no getting around

With a whip and chain you’re bound

By so called moral ground

To things that should never come around

I’m on the prowl

With a panging pain in my bowels

A sense of impeccable injustice all this has aroused

A mouth filthy from foul words that needs a scour

But every day still has a golden hour

And in the air there’s now a scent

Of some kind of mysterious amend

This building suspense

It’s making me tense

But I have a sense

That something good is around the bend!
