Arctic Tundra

Bryan Gernhardt

By Bryan GernhardtPublished 5 years ago • 1 min read

My heart,

Frozen,

Like the Arctic,

In the negatives,

Always thinking of the worst,

Freezing anyone who sails their way inside.

My mind,

A tundra,

But, not just any “winter wonderland,”

An abandoned wasteland,

Frozen like my heart,

Both,

Torn apart.

Independent and proud I stand,

No one will understand,

The coldness of my body,

That rushes through my veins,

Causing an everlasting winter that surrounds me when released.

And so I stay locked away,

In my kingdom of this Arctic Tundra,

As I rise to achieve,

No longer will you deceive,

My goals and dreams,

Now you are,

Frozen in time.
