Here and now

We must stand

What will the years bring?

What will they decide?

From those who came before

Had dealt with hardships

Much like us

👁

Must we rise and fall

As they did so

In the year 2033

We wait for one to find

That piece of Eden

Lost to all

To tell us what the truth is

And if we made the right call

👁

We are all grains of sand

Cascading across each other

Learning and shaping

A new year

A new order

👁

This image in my mind

That of an old dream

Tells me we are not done yet

We serve the light

And fight in the shadows

👁

Not knowing our purpose

and in the year 2033

We share our stories

And speak across time

Our suffering was worth it

In the end

For Fun

Great dreams to hope by. Will the world listen and learn.

I really enjoyed the hope embedded in this wonderful poem, Jazzy. Every stanza had something special but my favorite were the last two lines. Such a positive way to think about things, thanks for sharing!

  • Lovely… “ This image in my mind That of an old dream Tells me we are not done yet We serve the light And fight in the shadows.” So true! I also like the cute icon of the eye!
