Arcadia Lost
Ever searching...

Still looking for some kind of paradise.
The sky is too dark to see tomorrow,
paranoia beckons a sacrifice.
The present is time and callous sorrow.
~
Wretched thought after routine stagnation,
this feeble search and seek of a hive mind
to truly belong begs expiation.
Put the blanket on, just to fall behind…
~
The ghosts are getting close, where is relief?
Senses enflamed from the despondent drone;
a deep dark nothing that sneaks like a thief
harkening back to turn targets to stone.
~
This shadowy unknown intrudes upon
a life of deceit given to this pawn.
I used to write sonnet's a lot when I was younger and I must admit, I missed them so my latest collection of poems are in sonnet form, complete with iambic pentameter. I'm hoping to write enough to put in a book. Like what you see? Please leave me a tip.
