April Fool, a day of jest,

When everyone tries to do their best,

To trick and fool their friends and kin,

With a clever joke or prank within.

Some jokes are silly, some are grand,

Some are planned, others offhand,

But all are meant to make us smile,

And laugh for just a little while.

We put on a show, a little act,

To see how long the joke will last,

Until our friends catch on and see,

The fool that we've been trying to be.

It's all in good fun, we all know,

A time to let our humor show,

To poke a little fun and play,

Before we all go on our way.

So let's enjoy this day of jokes,

And laugh until our sides do ache,

For April Fool comes but once a year,

And brings us joy and lots of cheer.
