Apathy II: A Faceless Curse
I lost my face when my heart stopped working.

Look at me,
What do you see?
Apathy‐
I'm sorry, but I'm not
I wish I could be sorry
But, I kind of like being numb
I wish I could care
But, I'm just done
I've been hurt too many times before
So it's only fair,
That my heart doesn't work anymore‐
My only love is to flirt with death
We dance together around the pieces of my heart
Our expressionless laughter will last forever
Apathy's faceless curse collects the shards of my heart
The emptiness, this is my favorite part
It might just look rehearsed, but it's not
I'm sorry, but I'm not
And, I'm not the first that can't be,
That privilege, to be sorry-
Was taken from me,
Replaced with a faceless curse
Now only what can be seen is the worst
Look at me,
What do you see?
Apathy‐
I'm sorry, but I'm not
I can't be-
