Anxiety comes in waves

stuck in a loop?

By Ena Published 7 days ago 1 min read

There is always a loop,

that may connect

the dots of people

and stories of people.

These patterns have clicks

that often click once, twice, thrice.

They make me lose hours.

But life is a loop,

so I don't care if I spin a bit,

as long as I get somewhere tomorrow.

Some see red

I see orangered

Anxiety comes in waves

I Don't Remember What I Commented On.

A calm rushes over me

I feel at ease.

I switch tabs

Scrolling.Clicking.Scrolling.Clicking.

Some see red

I see orangered

Anxiety comes in waves

Anxiety comes in waves.

All is lost in that moment,

when the moment takes all.

It burns and darkens

deep in the belly.

No matter how hard I try,

the sky won't fall down,

but it laughs and cries,

as my chest falls and rises.

In the unprepared moments,

we lack the feeling to feel,

so we only feel blackness

swell like an invisible storm

that takes us out to sea.

Anxiety comes in waves

Anxiety comes in waves.

Brilliant piece, I've found sucking on a peppercorn to be a modicum of relief!
