The meteor had escaped near earth object detection.

Scientists said it was not caused by magnetic but plutonium attraction,

Flashing above Chelyabinsk, Oblast, the second time in ten years.

The proximity to the plutonium nuclear site caused many fears.

*******

Mankind often forgets they hardly use the potential of their brain.

Their hubris lets them think that they know a truth that they feign.

The impact was a testament to mankind’s ignorance.

They were caught unaware as if in a trance.

*******

For over 200 000 years Mankind has survived using the sword

Populations had grown. Man adventured on the earth they explored.

Curious, they soon innocently learned how to venture into space.

They sent out the Arecibo message, inviting aliens, without any face.

*******

And now the aliens arrived with a blast.

They had answered the call. The die was cast.

The leaders wondered how the aliens might learn,

about mankind and of course, their respect earn.

*******

They decided children would be the first to know them.

They came from the roots and would become the stem,

of a tree of life, that holds wisdom and knowledge,

that is found in humans who never went to college.

*******

Throughout the world, children and the aliens found Camelot.

Aliens saw the inborn experience of love, in spite wars that were fought.

The children showed the aliens the innocent beast,

with hope, trust and determination, consistent as the sun rising in the east.

*******

The young displayed an innate wisdom.

They were programmed as part of a well-functioning system.

They smiled as they looked into the aliens’ eyes,

and responded with simple innocence, as wise masters who advise.

*******

Those who could play and laugh in the sun,

showed the aliens how they had fun.

Those in war zones, had eyes without spark.

They had empty stomachs that made them angrily bark.

*******

With no concept of self, children were open about their needs.

The aliens respected these simple human seeds.

They observed how the human brain changes and grows,

and how it could usually flower, like a rose.

*******

The aliens were efficiently able to guide,

the children who eagerly awaited the ride.

They were keen to become the next generation,

of a new hybrid-extra-terrestrial creation.

I like how you've used this latest challenge to bring your scientific knowledge to the foreground, and you do have a way of stringing complex ideas into rhyming pattern. Erudite and playful, nice job!

  • Awww, this was extremely wonderful! You wrote this one so beautifully!
