Public Announcement Challenge

You are treading on dangerous ground

People are fighting far and wide

And only YOU get to decide

Whether you can get along with friends and foe

And how much you want any of them to know.

The same sun is shining on us all today, no matter where you live, and what you say

It's frightening to see what is going on around the world

Shootings, protests, murders and the like

People fleeing, people fighting, all those disagreements

When we don't agree, we are bound to fight

People dying in wars and on our open seas

When does it stop, and when do we say PLEASE

STOP.................

The violence-Stop the hatred................

STOP - And look around you, and you will see............

We are, and always have been more alike than we are different............

I love to write in every venue. I am 76 years old and try to make every day count,. I am learning a great deal about poetry.
