A stone angel standing watch over the dead
Marching through fields of stone and grass
A battle she wages against the living
A silent deathwatch over the lost souls
Never will I falter in my stead
Her wings torn as the years pass
An arm lost to the thieving
This never stops her patrols
A child crying was heard
She knew she couldn’t bypass
She found the child begging
In her arms, she consoles
Her mission clear, the words unsaid
Her destiny she had found alas
Her fate had reached its ending
The child her arm permanently enfolds
