Who still writes beyond
their 280 characters?
Still taps an extra space
between sentences or
cares for grammar?
These days every word
can be abbr.
or worse, turned into pictures
losing if not their meaning
then their original power
as ancient languages
give way to new
entire conversations are reduced
to nonsensical words like
vibe, ratioed, stans, tracks, based
low hanging fruit
speaking in preset phrases
easily copied or lifted rather than
developing whole and independent
thought, once powerful and strange
original and unique
now in trying to be clever
they fail entirely
