an unintended heartache
a poem about eternal grief

there’s a gentle shade coming over me
a cold breeze I try to ignore
holding to tight to the presence of the sun
hiding behind the clouds in the horizon
I want to hold on to the wind
that can carry me further in my journey
to afraid to feel the cold sharpness
cutting the sour spots of my skin
I can’t feel the pressure of these moments
the truthfulness of this reality
I don’t want to be part of
but has slowly entered my life
there’s no way I want to notice
the missing parts in my heart
my soul needs to heal day after day
after the unintended heartache
it has entered this unknown place
that I want to deny all the time
but will be confronted with
throughout the eternity of my existence
