An ungrateful brat

#

By Maryam BatoolPublished 11 months ago 1 min read

And yes, I got what badly I once wanted

For what I cried, fear had me haunted

I now wear a black impostor hat

O! I turned into an ungrateful brat

We only crave for what we don't have

We beg God crying, without a laugh

Only when we get, we betray like a rat

O! I turned into an ungrateful brat

I thought I was fairy, 'cause humans make mistakes

I thought, I was pure water, out of all glitched lakes

Only to realise, I have been a human, when I was sat

O! I turned into an ungrateful brat

I now know, I am the lie, I am a lie and Sigh

My eyes aren't now wet in front of God, they're dry

Sinning all the time, my heart became fat

O! I turned into an ungrateful brat
