An Ode to Emerald

You are the Empress, the glory, the majestic Dame,

For the ever precious infinite that will remain,

You bring with you a magical inquisitive glow,

Through deep shades of pondered wisdom only time knows,

You were molded from the harsh conditions,

And yet reign with nature’s perfect renditions,

The color of nourishing and bountiful life itself,

And a queen of all to praise atop the highest shelf,

You are the color of grace, quiet confidence, and prestige,

The birthplace of all living and the lived beings,

The peaceful warmth of embracing trees,

Under the canopy of your protective leaves,

Through the emergent light of day,

Enveloping all your shades in every way,

You pose with you an intelligent mystery,

From your perspective you’ve been around since before history,

The secrets you’ve seen,

The hidden places you’ve been,

You bring with you the hue of the divine

A color that’s reminiscent of the origin of time,

The sacred garden,

A place of rest,

In your ever-giving offering,

None other can best,

You’re the chalice of creation,

A goddess of reincarnation,

You’ve lived through many lives,

And outseen the purpose for which many strive,

For they loose sight of what you knew all along,

All quests for power, possessions, and glory are soon gone,

All anyone ever needed was to return to you,

The peace found in the natural and the true

That nothing for wanting,

Is worth the blessings you’ve been donning,

The fruitful, the foundation, the serene,

And the forever healing in your being,

The color in you, Emerald, is the color of honest power,

Always with you in the final hour.
