O clock, timekeeper of our days

With steady tick-tock, you never sway

Your hands move on with constant grace

Guiding us through life's endless race

From dawn till dusk, you tirelessly count

Minutes, hours, moments amount

Ever-present, reliable friend

On whom we always can depend

You mark the start of every task

Wake us up and make us ask

How much time is left to do

All the things we need to pursue

You chime in ways that we all know

Announcing noon or evening's glow

Reminding us it's time for lunch

Or dinner, when the day is done.

O clock, your voice is heard

In every corner, every word

We set our lives around your face

And let you help us keep our pace.

Without you, we'd be lost in time

Constantly searching, trying to find

A way to measure our existence

But with you, we've got persistence.

So here's to you, dear clock of ours

For keeping us on track for hours

For being there, both night and day

A true companion all the way.
