An Infinite Mile
Words I have sung to be taken aback
Words I have sung to be taken aback
be staggered by a shot of Kodak
But treading in midst of an echoing track
Was always meant for my cul-de-sac
Before the truth I would humbly kneel
Hold my anguish at your earnest appeal
And even in my most profound peril
I have only ever besought to feel
The ebbing away of an edified steel
The yearning for your lingered pastille
And it shall be my fatuous conceal
Of what has befallen to be real
Setting foot on my sequestered isle
Your breath has gusted the sand labile
And with every grain I reconcile
I’d walk with you an infinite mile
About the Creator
Ashley Tong
If I were a painter, linguistics would be my palette, and poetry my favourite brush. If I were an artist, nature would be my muse, and music my companion, and I shall endeavour to depict life as I see it.
