An Artist’s Dream
I was born a phantom in an artist’s dream,
Although I look scary, I wasn’t meant to be.
I wasn’t made for anyone to scream —
I came to life from just a simple dream.
My purpose here upon this canvas,
To show change and that it can exist.
I was born here on this canvas,
Painted with care so I’d exist.
I was given life by the artist’s hand,
Although I never drew a breath.
I’ll stay right here, you’ll understand —
Bringing you luck until your death.
Look at my face, my legs, my arms —
When you need hope or courage near,
I’ll be right here to keep you calm,
And give you what you need, my dear.
Painted with care, to please, not hurt,
To bring you worth and gentle light.
I was an artist’s dream, converted —
Painted to make your days bright.
Good luck surrounds me — it is true,
For I am a charm made just for you.
Enjoy me every day, I am by your side
