An Apology for the Truly Blind

Sight is not the only way to see.

By Antonia CameronPublished 9 years ago • 1 min read

In the black

Grass sings its melodies softly

Wind dances happily with stars

Sunshine brings a warm pulse

Nothing every off key

Sounds of steps approach

Then humbly recede

Without any light or dark

There is so much more

Underneath

I will always cry for you

With all your underappreciated sight

You may never even know

You may go through life never to feel

All that is balanced and right

All you will understand is a theoretical fright

How could I explain

That sadness has left me

For an event marred with pain

When my eyes grew dim

Was when I began to live.
