rain, rain, please don’t go away

come back again any day

rain has been so misconstrued

misunderstood

when instead of seeing the sun beaming down

we feel the drops of the water trickle around

and the sky turn dark casting a scary,

cloudy, painting overhead

we think of fear, to feel sad

we want to be lazy, we think it bad

but the rain does not want bad

in fact, it should make you glad

the rain cleanses

the rain heals

the rain helps grow, it’s what nature feels

i like to sleep in the rain

and drift off to the music of the thunder roar

when i see flashes of lightning in my window

it’s exciting, not a bore

life appears when rain falls down

that’s when i walk, when i live

i own that crown

a crown because i am alone

i am the royalty who doesn’t have a throne

i feel and i heal in the weather you fear

because it is different, because

it like i, am a little bit weird
