An Abandoned Front

Universal Disrepair

(Deviant Art - BardaWolf)

An abandoned front

A cold emptiness a stark reality

Horizon is undone,

Buckled and reemerging behind

Black iron posts – the rain’s collected

Beneath the lifeless, useless bridge

A spattering that reflects

The iron bones left

After time and scrappers left it bare

In the middle a pause

To see a budding metropolis

Conveniently drawn

Through the center arc -

The third in old, paved glass windows

Broken by bricks – sheltering a scrap heap

Hidden in the shadows.
