Once I forgot myself and I forgot my name.
I don’t remember that place, yet it’s who I became.
Once I forgot who I was and I forgot that pain.
I can’t recall that face, what’s wrong with my brain?
I laid in bed for days when I didn’t know my purpose.
What a damn shame and I’ve never felt so worthless.
I gave the clothes off my back, I’ve never been so shirtless.
Once I cried myself to sleep because I couldn’t be perfect.
They said ignorance is bliss, so never knowing’s alright.
Well, I got a second helping of amnesia delight!
Once I forgot where I was and I forget where I am.
I don’t remember that space, yet it’s where I was damned.
Once I forgot the whole world, and to nowhere I ran.
I can’t recall that pace, my bullets can’t fly if my gun were to jam.
I was trapped in my head for months, what if I’m in the wrong?
I didn’t want to fit because I wanted to belong.
It’s the same old dance, but it’s not the same song.
Similar leave, but I’m not the same gone.
They said two wrongs do not make a right.
Well, I had two types of amnesia delight.
Once I forgot my past, I forgot where the present was.
I can’t remember everything, I guess that’s what life does.
Once I forgot my greatness and I forgot that I’m loved.
I don’t recall anything, it’s left in the dust.
