Amaranthine Journey
Wonderland Challenge Day 7 "Journey"

seemingly impossible
I heeded the call
executed the task
you, too, can now follow suit
‧₊˚❀༉‧₊˚.
meet me where our expressions expand
building castles in the billowing iris sky
I eagerly watch your winning ascent
listening closely as you build with your pen
can you hear me cheering
hanging from amethyst moonbeams
right above your dreaming head?
‧₊˚❀༉‧₊˚.
grab some honeyed words
from this grand, majestic pile
slap them into the heather dust
one on top of the other until they form
the shining foundations of the staircase
that will lift you higher
‧₊˚❀༉‧₊˚.
carry you far from the grasping shadows
threatening to tear you from your ladder
if you slow your pace for
even one resting hour
don’t get distracted or let them
drag you into the stinking indigo mire
‧₊˚❀༉‧₊˚.
keep picking with foresight
driven inner strength
lift the gently flowing syllables
above your head
‧₊˚❀༉‧₊˚.
stack and mortar them
into resplendent crystalline shapes
a shadow cannot ascend steps of
pure light and joyous faith.
‧₊˚❀༉‧₊˚.
your well-chosen path gradually
shunts you down towers of time
allowing you to build with blocks of
tanzenite truth and lilac lime,
spreading hand-mixed
vulnerability, sharing the burden
lightening the weight
‧₊˚❀༉‧₊˚.
become an architect of light
a builder of truth,
designer of personal might,
dedicator of all
ornamental objects
bringing delight.
‧₊˚❀༉‧₊˚.
how do you know
when you’ve reached
your highest height?
‧₊˚❀༉‧₊˚.
you don’t, that's why
words recombinate
on into infinity
why brand new words
are penned and defined
every single day
‧₊˚❀༉‧₊˚.
to climb higher
dig our tired bodies out of
holes, and build doors to
unblock the heliotrope corners
we’ve written ourselves into
‧₊˚❀༉‧₊˚.
I know we will meet together
in a syntactical wonder
a lyrical achievement of epic proportion
the world will never see us
with their dreary raisin feet
constantly occupying judging eyes
shuffling through streets of berry tinted lies
‧₊˚❀༉‧₊˚.
our city of sentences scripted
amongst verbena scented clouds
whether silently read or
sung at the top of our lungs
words will set us free to
roam the sky and fly unstrung
from the tethers that bind
most people’s feet to the ground
