Amabel severs the invisible string between her and Taran

For love can not flourish when one of their heart’s barren.

Like a sunset, she leaves quietly, painting the sky with color.

She wonders will Taran notice that his world’s grown duller

**********************************

Peace blows like a mighty wind, drying the last of her tears.

Amabel locks away the bittersweet memories of their years.

Taran is a rock, content to be on the mountaintop in solitude.

Amabel’s weary of being the bird that flies to visit and intrude.

**********************************

Heavy with wishes, Amabel sings one last song before she departs.

In her hand, the severed end of the string that joined two hearts.

Amabel wishes Taran happiness and hopes his dreams come true.

Dropping the string, she leaves, whispering, I will always love you.
