Am I the only one of my kind?

My Poem: dedicated by a human, to a human

By Karun Published about a year ago • 1 min read

When we used to walk in a row,

perhaps there is no space for many

I'm left behind.

Do you even mind?

Or am I a super man, invisible to you?

Another forgotten name.

Don't you have basic courtesy?

Respect human to human.

How do you even exist heartlessly?

I wanted us to be a legacy

I thought we would grow together..

I did believe you were my another brother

Oh brother, I never knew I'm your stranger.

Now I doubt about those good days

were they really good ?

Some old fantasies

or just some manipulated memories

Am I the only one of my kind?

Or just I'm left behind..

lite smile, heavy heart

Should I still call you my friend

or do you suggest some other name

You just want to play some game,

the crown or the fame?

I'd rather lose than part your shame

We said "we would stand by"

and I did the same

But only one did comply

It all slipped by

Heart took the blame

I took the pain.

Am I the only one of my kind?

that's what you made me pretend.
