Am I Blue?

by ricokristo

By Eric AtwoodPublished 5 years ago 1 min read

Aren’t these tears tellin you?

How many summers, springs

Can these seasons bring

Shades of blue

But sometimes violet creeps in

Wrapping me in wonder...

Or the deep red ink of a rose

Consumes my passion

In my dreams I fly with Jimi

In shiny purple metallic armor

... or I sing with Ray

Soulful melodies of scarlet warmth

But in the end, I am blue.

Blue like the waves,

Blue like a cheerful sky in spring

Blue like the shimmering water of a creek

Blue like the peace I feel, when I’m with you.
