I was afraid to get better. '

And Wanted to stay in love

With the darkness and stormy weather

So I wouldn't lose my soul.

I worried that 'getting better'

Would ruin my poetry and creativity.

As if I wouldn't be able to write about hope and love letters

That my creativity was born of sorrow.

But I think I got stuck in limbo

Hanging between happiness and sadness.

Swinging back and forth on a swing

To not lose myself or fall to madness.

I've lived in the in-between now

For far too long.

Truly I have to move on.

Before I have to move on.

Before I make my home inside this isolating tomb.

Rise up and live in better days.

Knowing that to create and play.

I do not have to commit myself

To living in the grey.
