If life seems jolly rotten
There's something you've forgotten
And that's to laugh and smile and dance and sing
When you're feeling in the dumps
Don't be silly, chumps
Just purse your lips and whistle - that's the thing
Always Look on the Bright Side of Life
My mother died of cancer, but I remembered she escaped the slavery, the pain, and poverty of North Korea, the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, so I could have a better life.
She was always dancing, laughing, and singing. Ironically, I am about to leave America because I am broke and am being offered jobs in other countries because of my PhD.
Sadly, I think America died, not the people, but the dream died. In Oklahoma, we have more women in jail per capita than North Korea.
I actually visited North Korea one day, for I walked to the country and turned back. You are allowed to take pictures on the North side.
