Alone in the Crowd

experiences that life teaches

By Melody Delight Published 4 years ago • 1 min read

It’s been a while in the cave,

The darkness and silence begin to attack,

A crack of light seems better than black,

Raine by the isolation, I step out of the cave.

Ah! The bright, scorching heat,

Still being chased by the loneliness,

Onward to a quest of happiness,

An overdose of solitary to beat.

I stumble upon a kirk,

With a hope of redemption,

Set foot in to encounter desecration,

Then depart with a feeling of irk.

In a drift of reflex,

I motion toward my abode,

To seek comfort, I punch in the code,

And walk into a gust of queries full of perplex.

Overwhelmed by the confrontation,

In a desperate attempt to find a diversion,

I escape to a shindig with commotion.

As the noise inside battles the outer one aloud,

Shun the demons to solitude,

Mingle in the multitude,

Now to welcome the disclosure- a feeling of being-

Alone in the crowd.
