Alone In Silence

The place feels empty

The room lies by itself in silence

The very chair with dust on it

Silence enters the room despite my noise

The hallways seem as if there is no life

I remember the good old times

The laughter has died

The rooms are empty

Meaning has become useless

Even the walks feel like a ghost town

The bed lies made as before

The swing has not swung forlorn

Yet I cannot see anything

Lost in the world that seems to be moving

Looking around, nothing seems alive

I try to live but feel like I am missing

The house is so empty, loving nothing more
