All the Hues

Some people are blue,

the popular ones.

Some are people-pleasing purple,

they always make sure you’re having fun.

Some are orange,

not many’s first choice.

Others are red,

a fast or luxury car, perhaps a Rolls Royce.

Some may be yellow,

a sunflower that, when smelled, makes you feel mellow.

There are those who are green,

they make you think of your bank account, or keeping the earth clean.

Still others are pink,

make you blush when they speak before they think.

Some are violet or maybe indigo,

either way, they’ll surely work with your garden’s flow.

There are those who are clear,

you can see right through them; they’re motivated by fear.

Some of us are rainbows,

we can’t be easily defined.

We go as the wind flows,

we shine all ways at one time.

It’s a marvelous thing.
