All She Wants

Some people love you, others use you. In many cases, you’re just a part of their addiction.

All she wants is

 in my pocket,

in my wallet.

***

Not the heart that beats.

Not the love that bleeds.

***

She don’t give a damn

about the fire within

that once burned bright.

***

Upon her sight.

Upon her touch.

The addiction that controls

Makes me the one

She needs.

Upon her sight.

Upon her touch.

Becomes her bitter tool

On me.

***

The greenback has her

by the throat.

And she can’t wait

for that new high

at the cashier’s touch.

***

And when it’s gone

I’m nothing, until…

***

Just  an empty husk

waiting to be filled

and be used up, again.

***

It’s all she wants.

It’s all I am

To her.

That’s all I am to her.
