All Alone

Aching ache, always around,

Abject air, no one to be found,

Arid and abandoned, all alone,

Aloof and adrift, afraid to atone.

Amidst the abyss, an apparition appears,

A beckoning beam, banishing my fears,

A bright burst of beauty, a blissful breeze,

A bond so benevolent, beyond my beliefs.

All at once, I am awash in awe,

Astonished at the aura, the amiable draw,

Aching no more, my anxieties abate,

Anew and alive, I affirm my fate.

Alas, the apparition begins to depart,

Aching ache returns to my heart,

All alone once again, but not for long,

Another apparition will come along.
