Questions linger

Long after

The meanings

They escape

What is

What was

And what will

The meanings

They are of it all

Every ask

Never answered

The mystery

It continues

For mankind's folly

Is but to continue

Never knowing

The meaning of it all

What's it about

Why are things

People

Places

And events important

Why does any of it matter

What's the bigger purpose

What are you supposed to do

Without knowing

Why you

The insanity

Is in the answer

The answer

Wrapped in a puzzle

Why and

What's it all about

Is it about one thing

Is it that simple

Could it be

We've known

Why didn't we see

Before we were doomed

We let it all happen

We destroyed

We failed

We weren't

Our own keepers

We weren't our brothers

We didn't hear

The voices singing

We didn't listen

To the screams

Stuck in a cycle

Of asking what it's about

We forgot to do one thing

We forgot to succeed

It was to us

To take the lead

We failed
