Alive

A Soul's Endurance

By Celia MPublished 7 years ago 1 min read

I'll only get close enough to see what may lay underneath

The depths are questionable, but the tidal waves at peak...height.

High from the attention, the sentience of life. I can taste it on my toungue, breathe it in through my lungs. that's the magic...the release.

I cease to feel imprisoned in my mortality. My own mental prison.

Fixed in the confines of the system's self-made shism.

How I long to feel important, wanted, and free

Consequence of being human, exhilirating and painful

Embracing it is easier said than done when to be thankful is to be complicit

Resist it. And fixate on what makes you whole, we whole

An energetic transference of what it means to be alive

A soul's endurance.
