Alabaster

Dust Becoming

By Colleen WaltersPublished 12 months ago • Updated 12 months ago • 1 min read

Stay with me

i'm still becoming

who i am

i'm not where

i used to be

in the tempest

my defiant

heart pumping

tears across me

til i'm crushed like

a rock into sand

alabaster dust

a desert in

an oasis

i hear a whisper

imperceptible

perceived in

a secret place

hidden deep

"Stay with me

you're becoming

who you are

you're not where

you used to be

I won't dry your tears

I've been bottling them

to shape you

keep going".
