Mirrors snickering over new found girth
Wrinkles bickering over place of berth
Knees that crackle when asked to task
Hands that freckle when last to grasp
Livers lame as lush did lush
Ears crane for source of hush
Hair so fair now deemed not there
Backs that bear no more their share
Bladders bursting as dams undone
Tongues thirsting as chatter fun none
Pill popping precise to hours punctual
Memories concise no longer functional
Hopes and dreams replaced with creams
Fields and streams defaced with screams
Yet, Life, though tarnished, resist this garnish
For Death, more darn-ish, will the last call varnish!
