Thought that I was doing better,

But still…

Every time I hear of you

The simple mention of your name,

My mind spins and whirls

My heart skips as if you’ll magically appear

My eyes light up with hope,

But then that second passes,

And again,

I feel the dreadful sadness,

The feeling of that light fading from my eyes

I feel the way I always do,

Something I am far too used to,

I feel...

Left behind
