Yes, our planet is dying.
Let’s make a difference.
After the parade, optimism fades
as a neighbor chops another tree.
After the parade, lies are revealed
as another manatee washes to shore.
After the parade, tears are hidden
as a family member bastes another bird.
No, it is not your life to take.
No, it is not your water to poison.
No, it is not your land to steal.
No, there is not another home.
