Venting how expensive trading card games have gotten

What does it mean

To play a game

You cannot afford?

When every card you need

Costs an arm and a leg?

They say there are versions

That are free or cheap,

But they are not the same

As playing in real life.

I am stuck in a position

Where I have lots of decks

I would like to build

That I cannot afford.

Sometimes the free to play versions are nice

Yet they are littered with pay to play options

Encouraging addicts to spend money

On meaningless data.

Why do I continue to play it then?

There are no other options.

No way to play in real life.

If I had someone to play with,

A community I could join,

Then maybe this game

Could be more affordable.
