Adoption is a special thing
You know you should when you hear a ring.
Telling you it is time to have a kid
And all the lonesomeness will be rid.
It is a hard task
But let me ask you.
Are you ready?
You must stay steady.
Love them as your own
So they will never be alone.
Teach them the way to light
And teach them the wrong from right
Every kid should have a house
And not have to live with a mouse.
Every kid needs some love
And they will be as bright as a dove.
Lots of kids are hungry and lonesome
Some beaten and held for ransom.
Their backs are sore
And their hearts broken to the core.
Alone they lay in the cold
For they are very bold.
Then we came
And took in the sad and lame.
They will always have a warm place
And getting food will never have to be a race.
They will always have warm food
And will hopefully never have a reason to be rude.
Having a kid is a wonderful thing
They’ll make you feel as rich kings.
Or as poor as paupers
And only have a few coppers.
There will be good times and bad
Happy times and sad.
But never worry
You’re not in a hurry.
Have lots of fun
Go on a long run.
Be happy forever
For kids are a great treasure.
