Across the street, at the house

Across the street, at the house

By Blue JanePublished 6 years ago 1 min read

I opened the gate to let my mom out and standing there, I looked across the street, at the house.

Bathed in the night sky, it could barely be seen if not for the light.

The light that looked like home on an ordinary day back from work and the world is cold.

I stood and stared at the shadowed foliage.

I am standing at crossroads. Wanting so much to grow that I force it

and I want an apartment but I can't afford it. I want to catapult out of the

sky straight into the house. Straight to the part where I make it.
