Watching the sky turn blue
And then crimson,
Leaking through the branches of old trees.
-
In a dark room
The
Light blue
Hue
Of a screen
Illuminates the actions
I wish I didn’t do.
-
Drips of sweat
Between chills
Tease my arms
With their vague warmth.
-
Breaths
Between tears
Tease my heart
With their brief freedoms.
-
Scrutinising
Mirror images
Alone
And past midnight.
Memories reflected
Proving all too real.
-
Watching the sky turn blue
And then grey
Desperately crawling
Across an empty,
Soulless sky.
