ACCOMPANYING MY SON FOR HIS FIRST INTERVIEW

I want to tell my sons and daughters.

That the jitters that they face

On any venture new, bold or pother,

Is nothing new for my person or grace.

I went through this toil and trouble.

Without the knowledge to any, save,

My own self and my Beholder

Seeming to be a clone, a double, or a trace.

While all the time being at the counter

Cutting, cooking, cleaning, or washing.

Simply seeking closure; defying any flounder

Forever put under erasure; yet, dreaming..

Do not disdain if you happen to tumble by any,

Who though playing backstage; have elevated many!
