Abrupt Images

A flash and a splash of mind's tricks

In the puddle,

After the rain stops,

My reflection in the crystal water,

Dark, dull, gray.

Stares back from the underground,

As I stare at my reflection in the puddle,

I sit down with my still open umbrella,

Making it darker to see.

And the clouds rumbling,

Giving a warning to pour down again,

I touch one finger and see the image waver,

Just as my mind when I see him.

I rose back abruptly,

Regretting my minds decision to show me images, that I abandoned,

I splashed into the puddle disrupting,

The images and the world within.
