I tried my best to understand

Why did I continue to stay?

He promised me he wouldn't do it again

But then I question myself

"What is it about him?"

My friends don't understand

They say "Why are still staying even though he keeps playing you?"

I say nothing to them at all

I thought our love was having a ball

I didn't care about his flaws and all

I loved him

But then I would question myself again

I love him

I mean it

I adore him

He believes it

Yet I continue to stay with him

But why him?

Does he love me?

Does he mean it?

Does he adore me?

Do I believe him?

I never thought I would be stupid enough

I thought I could be brave enough

I was weak dealing with him

I was bleak by the lies he told me

He sold me

Even though people told me so

My heart was sore

But I love him still

I stay with him

Yet here I am

I question myself again
