A woebegone sentiment

The slices of my heart divined in a heaving toil

I cannot burden your heavy thoughts

My woebegone sentiments are harder to catch than a hummingbird in flight

Harder to hear than a flight of bees

Softer to feel than an ant’s kiss

Frailer than a frost that dances on a ledge

Melting like a forgotten secret that will only hang in the air

Cold, warm, invisible, heavy

Dreams that are too woebegone.
