Am I a wail or a whimper? Do I burn or just simmer?
What is my role and when is my cue. When it comes to them, I don't know what to do.
They say opening the door is the bravest thing. Step free from the closet, come out and SING!
But I'm not hiding away because of my fear. I hide to protect them from the monster in here.
The love, so strong, it fought lessons learned in formative years. Made a new man of me and my childhood tears.
I am the man who sees women's bodies as their own, finds men as his lovers, does not believe in a throne.
I am a man half the world will hate. But they will hear me and as I orate the story of a boy who hid in a cave to keep monsters of love inside and at bay.
Be a wail, not a whimper, raging fires do not simmer. There is no cue so I say I do.
I do, my love. I do. I do.
