A thousand lies

Poem

I’ve lived through a thousand lies

My death lies in my grave

She said face the horrors of your nightmares

Fear is just a key factor

Of all of the lies you tell

It doesn’t matter when death comes

Can’t pay him in gold or silver

Life is a cycle never ending

Reflection in the pond of a life undone

Many questions unanswered

Many answers with no question

Seeing a death play in the fields

Knowing the pain that is brought

Lies seek a mouth

It fosters a lie that never been told

To a lier a lie is just another meal

A mermaid swims in that ocean of your eyes

A mermaid looking for a victim

You’re the dragon that flies ahead

Each scale shows a different lie you believe

Every lie you tell yourself to sleep at night

You’re the toxicity that claims to be innocent

You’re the lie I no longer believe

Wishing death onto other for the pain you have suffered

Even when you’re the reason why it happened
