A Thought on the Wind 💨

Where does it go?

What happens to a thought that drifts through my mind? Does it float in and out, carried away by the breeze?

I even wonder where the thought comes from. If it can wander on in at any moment, did my mind really create it?

Does a mind ever create thoughts, actually? I know that I’m me. That’s a bedrock philosophical, scientific, and legal principle. As foundational as it gets.

So my thoughts are mine too.

But what happens when a thought arises that doesn’t seem like mine? Did I unknowingly create it? Was it subconsciously suggested by something else?

Or maybe… it just blew in on the wind. At least then I can let it drift off again, meandering back to wherever it came from.
