A breath exhaled in stillness,
This conductor pauses morning's song,
To roses stringed in dew gemmed bonnets,
Cobwebs chimed in crystalled throngs.
A sleeping audience struck iced silent
as chilled notes form this composition.
A tingling tentative on fingertips,
Beguilled by this cool musician.
The fading beat of butterfly wings,
hovers in subtle metronome.
Chords of dragon's breath and car lights,
Anti-freeze the melody home.
While violins bowed white strings slide
across each greyer snoozed alarm.
Crescendos of scarves and fire smoke,
warm in deer familiar charm.
A symphony of salty notes,
rests in a fleeting gauze,
A sparkling song of transition,
met with rapturous gloved applause.
